Joe Schuerger- Owner

Joe Schuerger is a Firefighter/Paramedic and Tactical Emergency Medical Support (TEMS) medic with experience in tactical/operational medicine. As the lead medic for a multi-jurisdictional SWAT team, Joe specializes in providing life-saving care during critical incidents. He serves as a liaison for over 22 SWAT teams across Northeast Ohio through a major hospital system, bridging the gap between tactical operations and advanced medical support.

In addition to his operational roles, Joe teaches tactical medicine and Rescue Task Force concepts to multiple agencies throughout Northeast Ohio, working at the state and federal level to enhance preparedness and save lives.

Lead Instructors

Our lead instructors bring unmatched real-world experience to the classroom. Each is a seasoned medical professional with backgrounds as Firefighter/Paramedics, SWAT-attached Tactical EMS (TEMS) medics, and active members of multi-jurisdictional tactical teams. With years of operational deployments, they’ve treated critical injuries in high-threat environments and bring that expertise directly to our students.

Collectively, they have taught tactical medicine curriculum across Northeast Ohio to law enforcement, fire/EMS, and other first responders—bridging the gap between classroom training and field application. Their mission is simple: prepare first responders to save lives when seconds count and conditions are at their worst.
